"Caught in the aftermath of a deadly heist gone wrong, Emma's car is hijacked and she is forced to be a getaway driver, only to discover that the gunman is one of her oldest friends - trapping them both in a tense, uneasy catch-up while they wait to escape."
Starring India Thompson and James Bryan, Last Words is an tense drama written and directed by Liam J. M. Wilson.
A departure from my recent work, this film features almost no visual effects, fastastical elements or action, but is instead a bit more of a slow paced character piece with a focus on the dialogue between these two main contrasting characters.
Especially coming off the back of my previous short, Mutiny, I didn't want to take on another post-production heavy film. I instead really wanted to stretch my legs in dialogue and purely character based storytelling, before I tackle another big action heavy/VFX/animation project.
The film was shot at the end of November 2025, and is now in post-production.
